Lisa Kelley’s work is inspired by nature – gardens, beaches, and woods. Typography, pattern and color are found throughout her mixed media work. Handmade stamps, maps from trips taken with her family, brochures from favorite places, hand-drawn type and photographs are all used in her art.
Lisa has been creating home and personal accessories, like clocks, wall squares and pendants for her business milkshake crafts since 2006. The bold surface patterns used in the products start out as drawings in ink on paper, and are then digitally colored.
Lisa earned her BFA at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, with a concentration in graphic design. She has worked as a designer and an art teacher. Lisa lives in Elkins Park, PA with her husband and young daughter.
