Diana Trout {Good Bloggin' Fun} Melissa Borko Tevere Melissa teaches art classes in her Glenside home studio on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons for K-4th grade students, and offers a homeschool art program during the day. ![]() MamaCita is excited to announce that members Janice Hayes-Cha, Brenda Howell, Kimberly Mehler, Julie Mann & Karen Hunter McLaughlin have been awarded a prestigious Leeway Foundation Art and Change Grant! In out last newsletter we announced MamaCita's collaboration with Mothers In Charge (MIC), a grass roots, nonprofit organization supporting grieving mothers of murder victims in Philadelphia. Our grant will be used to run art workshops with young women and mount an extensive year-long art installation. In a future newsletter we'll share all the details! Stay tuned. The Fairmount Park Welcome Center will host a solo exhibition of recent work by member, Melissa Borko Tevere "A Walk in the Wissahickon, Paintings and Mixed Media Landscapes", January 1 - February 29th, 2012. Opening Reception: Friday, January 20th, 6 - 8pm. The Fairmount Park Welcome Center, JFK Plaza, 16th Street and JFK Boulevard, Center City Philadelphia.
Member Lisa Kelley's biz, Milkshake Crafts, will be at Abington Friends on December 3. Check out Lisa's blog, Sweet Inspiration for more info.
